I hope you are right. But IMO Murdoch is the symptom, not the disease. His tactics wouldn’t be successful if people were not tuning in. His void will be filled due to demand.
Can you name any other right-wing media moguls who have had anywhere near as much global influence as Murdoch?
Steve Bannon might have an audience several orders of magnitude smaller, but he was a significant force in the 2016 election.
