Have you tried being a Took. It’s pretty great. Bilbo was a Took once removed and look what he accomplished.
We call this ‘failing upwards’.
And his interaction with the palantir? Dude’s whole career is failing up.
A took is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Gotta love some good, old-fashioned eucatastrophe.
I really wish we got like 1 more minute of the scene of the Balrog and Gandalf falling into the lake. I needed to see them both look at each other like “Oh, fuck.” and just haul ass out of there.
