You fail to see the point, and once again that’s okay. When technology outpaces you, you’ll come to understand what this conversation means. Take care, and try to make the world a better more accessible place if you have the capacity to do so :).

I am by no means a part of lemmy.world, if you bothered to look at my account I do not have my account based there. I also fail to see how it is relevant what so ever to our conversation? Every body gets old. New and wonderful things are constantly sprouting around us, nihilism will get you nowhere, and honestly will be a detriment to you as well… Especially as you get older and come to find yourself on the very end you’re fighting against: being able to understand how QR codes work, or what ever the newest and “greatest” invention may be.

When I’m “old” I’ll just adjust to the new technology, same as anybody else will…

Are you making this about ageism, racism, nationalism, or classicism? I’m genuinely confused, ngl. If they can afford dinner at a sit-down restaurant w/ a QR-code menu, I just figure they can also afford the same price/month for their phone bill.

You can absolutely hope and pray you’ll adjust, but not everyone is capable of doing so. Do you not remember, or are you not old enough to know how difficult it was to get grandma to use a texting app? All I’m trying to help you understand is that not everyone is capable of learning how to use these things. Whether it be age, disability, or any number of things.
