The Georgia trial of Donald Trump on charges he conspired to overturn the 2020 election will be televised and livestreamed, according to the Fulton County Judge.
Counterpoint… This will turn it into a media circus, worse than the OJ trial. It won’t be about the law and truth coming out, it will be about Trump putting on a performance to try and win over the public watching on TV. This will basically be his entire campaign for reelection. Instead of this being a distraction, it’s become a platform. His goal has always been to stay in the news, because if he all anyone is talking about, he’ll end up polling better. This will ensure it’s all anyone is talking about leading up to the election and everyone will ignore the others in the primary.
If he is found guilty and the 14th amendment comes into play, he’ll have likely worked up his base even more to the point I’m scared of that they might do. If he is found innocent, his poll numbers will skyrocket.
The country needs to move on from Trump, and televising this trial will make it impossible to move on.
