Like, I understand listening to them while driving to work, exercising, doing chores, etc!
But sometimes you’re in a moment and you don’t want to stop listening, but you’re done with your chores or something.
I currently just sit and twiddle my thumbs but I feel like I could be doing other things. Sorry if this was a dumb question I took an edie 😅
I listen to them at bedtime or my mind wanders and I don’t absorb it. But it helps my mind also stop wandering at bedtime so I can sleep instead of replaying the most embarrassing moments of my life on replay.

Commuting, laundry, yard work, cooking/baking, dishes, shopping, pretty much any task that doesn’t require talking or reading.
Drive. Don’t listen to any otherwise.
Same for me, I can only listen to audio books when I drive. It requires too much focus to be listening whilst working.
Clean or play minecraft
Adult coloring book apps and puzzle apps on my phone.
Browse craigslist. You can find some weird shit
Crochet or do jigsaw puzzles.
Go to the gym. Running on the treadmill listening to an audiobook is great I can just zone into the book.
I don’t usually sit idle. On the rare occasion, I’ll play Sudoku because that doesn’t interfere with my listening comprehension. Vast majority I am doing some kind of work. I’ve knocked out many audiobooks working on my deck, painting, etc.
I learned to knit. Hands and mind occupied when I’m too tired to wander around and don’t want to clean.
I listen at work, to work, and to home lol.
Play a game I’ve already played/ is more passive.
Will listen to more active things while playing games like: slay the spire, underrail, Warhammer.
If the game gets engaging will sometimes pause or vice versa
