“Massive school protests are ongoing in France, where students have been mobilising for their right to education—and against the austerity measures undermining it. Roughly 1,800 high schools were forced to shut down on Tuesday, 6 October, as students—supported by trade unions, families, and progressive politicians—took to the streets. According to trade unions, over 450,000 people participated in protests across the country.”
