The article made it sound like you have to have favourited the channel to get these notifications, rather than anyone being able to contact you like this at any time.

It’s a useless feature that almost no one uses that everyone keeps adding to their product when they are all out of ideas.
Here’s an idea: Fix the myriad of bugs. That would have me excited.
Maybe let me disable the useless emoji feature that pops up on mouseover rather than right click, maybe make it so copying messages after a triple click doesn’t copy the timestamp and sender by default but rather just the damn message contents, maybe add some of the incredibly useful features that apps like discord added years ago ie adjusting volume of specific people in a call, better noise filters, customization options beyond the extremely basic options they have right now, etc.
Those fucking emojis-on-hover drive me insane. Get out of the way!
I don’t care what you others say, I found that to be a useful feature and I wish I had an app or something that worked the same way.

I don’t know about Teams, but I work retail and the reason most of my store isn’t in walkie is because our Android devices will be getting walkie functionality “eventually” so the store can’t buy more to solve the problem we have now. I’m not looking forward to it because the devices are already buggy e-waste so adding one more “feature” to struggling devices is gonna suck.
No thanks brah. Just getting called on Teams is disturbing enough, I don’t need a co-workers voice coming out of nowhere.
