Hey, if you just make $1000/day then by the time you are 65 you’ll have just enough to pay your cremation and funeral fees!
Employees will always be more necessary than employers.
But you’re right about there being a declining job market as we enter another big recession/depression
Companies get one interview, with a human being.
Anything else is a scam and we need to make it clear we aren’t interested in wasting our time.
“If you want me completing work as a part of this application you need to pay me for my time.”
Employers aren’t enttitled to labor, they aren’t entitled to make us jump through hoops, and we’re at a point in labor dynamics where they need employees more than we need employers.
Keep putting them in their place

Technology@lemmy.zip•Nick Clegg says asking artists for use permission would ‘kill’ the AI industryEnglish
11·11 months agoI sat through the whole 3 hour video and at no point does he say anything like you described.
It only talks about how AI is bad, ranging from the loss of labor in a system where we must perform labor for survival, to how ofloading our creativity onto a machine kills the very spirit of humanity.
What a waste of time.
I’m blocking you now.
Watching the serious people trying to use AI to code gives me the same feeling as the cybertruck people exploring the limits of their car. XD
“It’s terrible and I should hate it, but gosh it it isn’t just so cool”
I wish i could get so excited over disappointing garbage

No? We would rather just make it harder for them to see the injustice?

Commercial property owners are lobbying Congress to force RTO because their properties will lose value if people work from home.
Shortsighted local governments like RTO because it forces people to be stuck in a part of town where they are more likely to patronize local buisnesses.
What they all look past is the growing resentment not just for RTO, but this entire system where we sacrifice our time and dignity for the cred of our politicians and the moneynof our slave masters.

Maybe offer a good product at competitive prices?
