Gotta love journalism that’s just ‘i personally don’t like this perfectly normal thing, ergo everyone who likes it is weird and wrong’.

Like bro no one’s forcing you to drink milk 💀

Sorry if you’ve timed jumped or reality wrapped. You have my sympathy

Here in the darkest timeline, BuzzFeed is actually the height of journalism

Man I really love milk. I used to really crave it, until I was diagnosed with a vitamin d deficiency some years back and started taking it daily, then realized my body was actually craving the vitamin d added to milk. I can tell when I need to start taking the vitamin d because the milk cravings will resume if I’m low

I mean drinking milk is somewhat weird when you think about it… But if you look at it like that all the stuff we do is weird… Like getting into a metal tube that burn animal/plant remains to fly over the clouds

I’d say drinking another species milk is certified weird. Doesn’t mean I don’t do it though.

I once played the drinking game Paranoia with a group of people where everyone was asking things like “who’s the horniest here” or “who drinks the most on a weekly basis” and “whose probably the worst at their job” and everyone was joking around, laughing and having a good time. When it was my turn to come up with a whispered prompt, I asked “who here drinks glasses of milk regularly” and the guy whose name was said was clearly more concerned about this than any of the other things that had been said that night. He had to know and understand what about him gave off the aura of “milk-drinker” and I’ll never forget how that label was the most upsetting thing that was said that night.

Well, many societies in the world, especially nomadic ones, who live off sheep and goats, drink lots of milk, because it’s one of the few sources of calories. So in that context, drinking lots of milk would seem to be a reasonable thing to do.

It’s honestly very reasonable from a survival standpoint.

So I was a listener of Vice’s tech podcast called Cyber. The final episode was a bunch of Vice journalists basically just talking shit on Vice for an hour. One of the things they mentioned which stood out, was apparently Vice’s NY office was stocked, head to toe, with milk. Like, all the other food and snacks were eliminated, but there was a cornucopia of milk, including plant-based milk. They didn’t know where it came from, and there was no explanation why all their other food was gone, but replaced with milk. Maybe that’s why this stupid post was made?
